Different from traditional Christmas tree in European countries, Hilton Hanoi Opera always decorates its Christmas tree in creative ways which make everybody anticipated. This is a highlight in festive season that attracts so many people in the city to come Hilton every year. Still located at the center of main lobby, Hilton Christmas tree this year is decorated with over two hundreds of artistic dolls in traditional Vietnamese ethic costumes by artist Hoang Anh Nguyen.

The collection includes 240 dolls, featuring ladies in costumes worn on festive occasions belonging to 18 ethnic minority groups including: Dao, H’Mong, Muong, Kho mu, and Khang. The costumes vary in colors and fabric while the patterns and jewelry play a significant role in defining each ethnic culture. Be it the long blouse of Dao people, wrapped skirts of H’mong, the famous pieu shawl with colorful and rich embroidery of Thai people, each item is individually designed and hand sewn, making the collection even more unique.

Purchasing one or more of the ethnic minority dolls will help provide underprivileged kids from Blue Dragon a better and more rewarding opportunity.

The Christmas Choir performance brings guests excitement by Christmas melodies and then the presence of “Santa Claus” giving lovely gifts to children will be a highlight of the day.

Tree Lighting is an annual activity of Hilton which attracts approximately 300 guests with the presence of Santa Claus bringing give to children.
